Executive Secretary of the National Human Right Commission, NHRC, Mr Tony Ojukwu, has reported a sexual assault carried out on a toddler in Lagos state, after the video of the mother beating the toddler surfaced online.

The video which took place at Idumota in Lagos State, showed the mother of the young child been blasted by residents and passersby for blaming her two-year-old child on the assault reportedly carried out by an adult.
According to the woman, she said the child is very stubborn and will not stay in one place. Insisting that she is ‘Ashawo (prostitute) as she will always run and stay with the adult who raped her.
The NHRC secretary tweeted; “We are currently investigating this case but need all the leads we can get.”
