The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has extended the lockdown declared in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus for another 14 days.

This announcement, made by Buhari was said this evening in a nationwide broadcast on Monday at his 7pm address.

He said the decision to extend the initial 14-day lockdown was taken “having carefully considered the briefings and Report from the Presidential Task Force and the various options offered.”
